
Betty Lou Garland, 79 of Indianapolis, passed away on April 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 23, 1938 in Sunbright, Virginia to Will and Lettie Carter.
Betty was an administrative assistant for Honeywell International, retiring after 30 years of service.
She is survived by her son, David and daughter-in-law, Tamara; grandsons, Nick, Nathan, Tony, and Geoff, along with their spouses; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Fields; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frank; her parents; brothers, Don, Hobert and Herald Carter; and sisters, Lorrine Welch and Helen Shupe.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Friendswood Baptist Church, 7901 S. Kentucky Ave, Camby, IN, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Flowers may be delivered to the church beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
